Pere Lachaise and the Pantheon

The afternoon of Saturday, March 17th, Lauren and I wandered around the cemetery Pere Lachaise and then we went to the Pantheon. It was cloudy and not nearly as warm as it has been the past couple of days, but I thought it worked walking around a cemetery on a dreary day. We wandered around for awhile, and we got to most of the really famous people. We decided to wait to go to Oscar Wilde's tomb though because we didn't have any lipstick with us... plus I would've felt a little like a poser if I gave him a smooch without really reading any of his stuff... I do know the last thing he said before he died though! - "Either this wallpaper goes or I do!" But I still feel like I should read something of his before I leave my compliments. The cemetery is really quite beautiful... and a little bitter sweet. Cue the pictures!

Some french guy told us that this tomb is made out of volcanic rock

After the cemetery, we ate lunch at a Chinese restaurant, then wandered over to the Pantheon. It was amazing, although I'm pretty sure it was colder inside the building than outside... More pictures!

There was a whole wall depicting Joan of Arc's life

Apparently the building we see now is like a shell build around the outside of the old Pantheon building
